About the Snow Plow Roadeo
The CASHO Snow Plow Roadeo is one of our most exciting and popular events. Municipal plow operators from across Connecticut compete in a series of timed obstacle courses that test their driving precision, safety awareness, and skill behind the wheel of a snow plow.
Competitors navigate tight courses marked by traffic cones, demonstrate backing skills, and complete challenges that mirror real-world plowing conditions. The event promotes safe equipment operation while providing a fun, competitive environment.
Competition Categories
Single Axle
Operators compete using single-axle plow trucks through a precision obstacle course.
Tandem Axle
Tandem-axle plow truck competition with larger vehicles and adjusted course dimensions.
Loader
Front-end loader operators demonstrate precision in stacking, maneuvering, and placement.
Backhoe
Backhoe operators compete in precision digging and placement challenges.
Registration
Municipalities may enter up to four competitors per category. Registration is handled through the CASHO office. Contact us for registration forms and deadlines.
